Abstract

Learning culture is an important element that supports student’s learning. The culture of learning in mathematics learning needs to be created especially in a boarding school that has a full boarding system and has many religious activities. This study aims to describe the mathematics learning culture of students in Islamic boarding school. The type of this research was descriptive with a qualitative approach that carried out at MA Nurul Jadid (Excellent Exact Program). The research subjects were ten students of grade XI Unggulan IPA Putri. Data collection used observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that learning habits and activities created such as MAFIKIB, extensions, games, SQC, ESA and memorizing vocabularies had important roles for students in mathematics learning outside of school hours. Full boarding system, boarding semester evaluation (ESA) and English as daily language make it different from another school in general.
