Abstract

Background: Dyspnea is a condition where the patient attempts to increase respiratory effort. This condition can appear at rest or with minimal activity. The patient is aware of the failure to take sufficient breaths. Normal oxygen saturation is in the range of 95% - 100%, while abnormal condition values are below 95%, oxygen saturation of 95% will have an impact on decreasing oxygen levels in the body, resulting in a person experiencing shortness of breath. The Virginia theoretical approach states that nursing is obliged to carry out independent intervention on patients as the patient's contribution to their recovery independently. This scientific work is to analyze nursing care for Mrs. T 78th with Dsypnea in the Aisyiyah Room Bojonegoro.
Method: The research in this final scientific work used a case report. Researchers followed the principles of the nursing assessment process which was accompanied by an assessment of 14 basic human needs according to Virginia Henderson.
Results: After administering the semi-fowler position and oxygen assistance, the results showed that oxygen saturation increased from Spo2 94% to 98%. The main nursing diagnosis found in cases of Dyspnea is ineffective airway clearance.
Conclusion: From the results of this study it can be concluded that giving the semi-Fowler position and oxygen assistance increases Spo2 in Dyspnea who experience shortness of breath.
