Abstract

2013 Curriculum is literaly implemented to design teaching and learning process which consists of methods, techniques, also strategies that are related with the students’ needs based on the curriculum used to have a good teaching. Therefore the researcher wants to investigate: (1) The implementation of 2013 Curriculum in English subject for second – grade by the teachers of MTs Surya Buana (2) The teachers difficulties in implementing 2013 Curriculum in English subject for the second – grade students of MTs Surya Buana (3) the teacher’s ways to overcome the problem. The research design of this research was descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research was the English teacher of MTs Surya Buana Malang. The instruments used to collect the data were interview and observation. The findings show that a) The implementation of 2013 Curriculum in English subject for second-grade was ready to implement, b) In implementing the curriculum, the problem faced by the teacher is the lack of students’ motivation in finding the material that would be conveyed at the next meeting c) The teacher way to overcome the problem is by creating the learning media as interesting as possible so that the students would unconsciously try to find the material with pleasure.
