Abstract

The research was motivated by the result of observation and interview at Panderejo Gempol Elementary School which showed the lack of learning tools of historical heritage of social studies subject used by the teachers in the classroom. This study aims to find out : (1) the process of development of field trip guidebook of historical heritage for social studies subject in elementary school 4th graders, and (2) the feasibility of field trip guidebook of historycal heritage for social studies in elementary school 4th graders. The research method was research and development utilizing Borg and Galls procedures which include potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, product trials, product revisions, usage trials, product revisions, dessemination and implementation. The product trial was conducted twice, namely on March 9, 2019 and March 11, 2019. The respondents ware SDN Panderejo Gempol 4th graders. The result f the study showed that the validation result of learning media validator and material expert validator obtained a percentage of 74% and 70%. The questionnaire which aims to find out students’ interests obtained a percentage of 72,6% and to find ut the teacher’s response to the use of field trip guidebook received a percentage of 76%.
