Abstract
As a vital infrastructure in the transportation sector, service and good mobility, and economic growth, Paspro (Pasuruan-Probolinggo) toll road is one of the government's projects aiming to connect cities in Java Island. This project, known as "Trans Jawa", is almost complete comprising 3 sections with a total length of 31, 30 km. There are various methods to design rigid pavement. Two of the methods is the Bina Marga 2003 Method and the AASHTO 1993 Method. This study aimed to figure out the comparison between the rigid pavement thickness and the required budget on the construction of Section 2 of Tongas – Sumberasih of the Pasuruan – Probolinggo toll road Sta.13+500 – Sta.20+400. The data required for this study were the Average Daily Traffic, soil, precipitation, and the standardization of unit price referring to the regulation of the Public Works Service of Probolinggo Regency. Based on the calculation through AASHTO 1993 Method, the thickness of the rigid pavement was 280 mm with the budget of IDR 107,263,407,313 (one hundred seven billion, two hundred and sixty-three million, four hundred seven thousand, and three hundred and thirteen rupiahs).
