Abstract

Textbooks are the main learning resource for students. The student book currently is a handbook provided by the government. Field facts state that the book lacks material. Especially, considering the needs of students for the material before the exam, the use of old textbooks needs to be done, but the appearance of old books does not attract students' reading interest. This study aims to (1) produce enterdal books (encyclopedia of thematic natural resources) as an additional learning resource for fourth grade students of elementary school; (2) knowing the attractiveness of the book enterdal (encyclopedia of thematic natural resources). This study included Research and Development (R & D) research using the ADDIE model consisting of stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (Mulyatiningsih, 2014: 200-201). This research was conducted in class IV of SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang City. The instrument used such as a Likert scale which has alternative answers with five criteria: very good, good enough, good, not good, very bad (Sugiyono, 2017: 135). Moreover, the product validation is carried out by media experts and learning resources, material experts, and learning experts, each of which is done twice. Therefore, the data obtained were in the form of qualitative and quantitative data which are then processed and described by presenting measurable data to determine the quality of the product being developed. The results of the research on the development of enterdal books (thematic encyclopedia of natural resources) based on the percentage evaluation of the results of validation stage one and two in this study, namely 66.25% to 82.5% by media experts and learning resources, 90% to 92.85% by material experts, and 90.66% to 96% by learning experts. Furthermore, on the results of product trials to determine the response of students get a percentage of 88.94%. Based on these deriving results it can be concluded that the enterdal book (thematic encyclopedia of natural resources) developed with the ADDIE model has very good and interesting validity, so it is worthy of being used as a complementary source of learning for fourth grade students.
