Abstract

Chicken meat is one type of nutritious food that is very popular among people who are useful as a source of animal protein. Almost all levels of society can consume this type of food as a source of animal protein. Broiler chicken meat products are a superior food commodity because broiler chicken meat has many uses and benefits to support people's nutritional needs. Diversification is an action to make things more diverse in order to not be fixated on just one thing, in this case the diversification of chicken meat studied is meatballs, sausages, nuggets and fried chicken. This research was conducted in January - February 2019 at stalls or outlets for processed broiler meat products in Tlogomas Subdistrict, Lowokwaru Village, Malang City The purpose of this study is to find out which products are the most outlets in Malang City and find out the diversification of the most popular broiler processed products by the community, the selection of this research object is purposively collected by observation, interviews and questionnaires. The method was then analyzed using chi square. Based on the data analysis conducted, it was concluded that the diversification of products offered influenced people's consumption patterns in the city of Malang, which caused the influence of people's consumption patterns, namely an increasingly advanced lifestyle so that the consumption patterns applied were also in accordance with lifestyle which is applied to processed broiler meat products that are most favored by the people of Lowokwaru Subdistrict, Tlogomas Village, Malang City are meatballs.
