Abstract

An urgent situation feared by the project manager is the delay for project completion which can cause financial and time loss. Human resource of each project may result in the fluctuation in the number of the human resource itself. An unbalanced human resource distribution may reduce the efficiency and effectivity of the human resource usage. Therefore, human resource leveling is the best solution to the issue. The Burgess is one of the methods exist in human resource distribution which is done by determining the amount of squared Z sum. The Z amount can be found by referring to the allocation number of resources needed. The small amount of Z will cause a small fluctuation in the demand on the human resource itself. This study used an assistant of a Software called Microsoft Project 2016.The analysis was conducted on the construction of Neo Hotel Batu, Malang. From the calculation result for human resource leveling on the iron founder it was found that the Z reduced from 8837 to 8327. The need of iron founder on the week 11 was of 33 personnel decreased into 30 personnel. The weekly wage for the iron founder was reduced from Rp. 1,207,059 into Rp. 1,174,118. It can be concluded that the human resource leveling in the project can reduce the peak demand of human resource and weekly wage.
