Abstract

Waste problem in Indonesia is a complicated issue due to the increasing amount of waste and high level of population growth. The 3R program would be really effective to support the goverment’s program in managing the waste in big city and to reduce the increasing landfills. The Integrated waste Processing Site (TPST) Sitirejo is under management of TPST Mulyoagung that actively operates in Malang city covering 5 villages and 2 housings with population of 9331. The data were collected from the site and relevant agency. The data comprise daily waste generation, daily waste density, daily waste composition, waste volume, waste amount , economic value and processing cost. Meanwhile the data obtained from relevant agency are the population of Sitirejo Village of Malang Regency. The analysis result/showed thatrthe average weight of daily waste generation is 0,42 Kg//person//day with daily waste volume of 2,35 liters/person/day .The daily waste volume distributed to the TPST is 22,74 m³/day with the service level of 88,82 %. The diminishable waste is 3456,66 kg from the total of 4062,82 kg. The site design comprises the 66,5 m² of waste dropping area, 25 m² of organic –waste area, 42 m² of inorganic –waste area, 154,76 m² of composting area, 33,34 m² of compost storage area with each 27 m² of office as complementarybuilding , 81 m² of parking area for garbage motorcycle, 9 m² of equipment warehouse, and 3 m² of toilet. Meanwhile, the monthly net income of TPST Sitirejo is IDR 1.024.855 with monthly income of IDR 16.204.855 and expabse of IDR 15.180.000.
