Abstract

One of the subjects that must be taken by elementary school students are teaching science. Because these subjects allows students to be able to think logically and critically about the events that occur daily. The impression that arise about some of the students in science subjects is negative, because it can not be denied due to the teaching of science has tergesernya way towards more abstract. Cartoon education is a medium of learning in teaching science. Cartoon favored by students packed in cartoon form in accordance with the concept of education in science (IPA), unwittingly by the students while they watched cartoons such education they are learning and at the same time as entertainment. This study aims to determine the influence of educational cartoon impressions of student perceptions about teaching science (science). The research subject is taken in accordance with the prescribed criteria, namely the fifth grade primary school students aged 10 to 12 years in 08 DAU Jetis SD Muhammadiyah Malang. Using a purposive sampling technique in determining the research subject. For the experimental group was a class 5a with the number of 33 students. And as the control group is the class of 5b with the number of 32 students. data collection using a scale of student perceptions about teaching science. From the data analysis using t test analysis technique test obtained by value t value = 2.836 and p = 0.006 where p <0.01. which means that there is significant effect of experimental group students' perceptions about eye pelajran Science (science). It can be concluded that the educational cartoon movie has a very significant influence on student perceptions about teaching science (science). Students who receive treatment watching cartoon shows education is more positively influence perceptions of teaching science (science) of the students who did not watch educational cartoons.
