Abstract

Bank health rating based on PBI No. 13/1 / PBI / 2011 using the RGEC method includes components: Risk profile, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Earnings and Capital. This study aims to analyze the soundness of banks listed on the IDX in the 2015-2016 period using the RGEC method at four state-owned banks and three private banks as research samples. The results of this study show that in 2015-2016 the level of health of state-owned banks was better than that of private banks, because the value of the average yield of state-owned banks' ROA, NIM and CAR ratios was greater. In 2015-2016 the value of NPLs and LDRs owned by state-owned banks were greater than those of private banks, which meant private banks kept their credit and liquidity risks low. From the average value of all ratios, the composite value of state-owned banks is greater than that of private banks, so that in 2015-2016 state-owned banks have composite predicates in general "very healthy" while private banks have a "healthy" predicate.
