Abstract

Adolescence was important time for the development of individual’s confidence. Adolescence at orphanage potential to has low self-confidence caused by negative influence of internal dormitory, the relation between orphans. Orphanage adolescence lack of support in their physical and mental change made them feeling anxious, confused, and un-confidence. From the problems, the writer tried to reveal did grouped playing therapy could increase early adolescence at Orphanage. The research was done by Non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design method which aimed to find the change of low confidence before treatment and post treatment. The subject was early adolescence at Muhammadiyah Malang orphanage. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method. By the method, there are 8 subjects as the chosen subject. Instrument used in the research was confidence scale before treatment (pretest) and after treatment (posttest). In analyzing the data, the writer used T-test statistic analysis. The result was significance value 0.02 which meant that there was significance different in confidence score before and after grouped playing therapy. It could be found from sig < 0,05 value. So that could be concluded that the effectiveness in increasing confidence at early-adolescence Muhammadiyah Malang orphanage.
