Abstract

The road section of Pattimura is the main access of way in and out for the transportation in Kediri City. This location is considered as a traffic point and trading central in Kediri City. Side barrier is one of the factors influencing traffic jams. The study was conducted to examine the road section performance caused by on-street parking in Pattimura 1 Road Kediri. This road actually is intended for the smooth traffic and its length has been diminished sue to on-street parking. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of on-street parking in the main road. The data were analyzed by using Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual 1997. The results of the study showed that capacity manual (C) of Pattimura 1 Road in the working hours (weekday) with one road flow is 2240.57 smp/hour and traffic flow (Q) is 1670 smp/hour. Thus, the saturation degree amounted to 0.75. It means that this road section has fulfilled the requirement of Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual 1997 with the service level D (0.75 - 0.84). The availability of parking area in Pattimura 1 Road Kediri City still cover the parked transportation (supply > demand).
