Abstract
Phonska fertilizer is one type of fertilizer products from PT. PKG. In the current conditions of the production process occurs in the company indicated waste (Waste). This can be seen from the existence of excess production that piled up in warehouses so. Additionally, inventory of raw materials is also excessive. This causes disruption of production lines, so in terms of time and cost disadvantage for the company. The main objective of this research is to reduce the inefficiency and waste that occurs. With the concept of Lean Six Sigma is an integration between the concepts of Lean with a focus on eliminating waste and streamlining processes that are not necessary in a process, by emphasizing speed the process. While the main focus of the concept of Six Sigma is to reduce to a minimum variance of the process and achieve zero defect failure rate (0%), to achieve satisfaction. Stages of this research is to define to identify waste that often occurs in the company, Measure to determine the waste of influence, and in it there is VALSAT to select the appropriate tool in helping to determine critical to quality of such waste, Analyze contains about Fish Bone Diagram to help find major cause of waste, and the last step is to Improve ie about Falure Analyze Mode and Effects (FMEA) to assist in determining the proposed improvement alternatives that will be corrected. From the defin stage, measure, and analyze known terjai waste which is often in the company is over-production and unnecerssery inventory, thus allowing a suggestion for improvement given on the improve phase of an inspection to the operator of the machine pengoparsian that does not happen again The Operating outside the SOP so that the production process can diminamisir . As for excess inventory needs to be re-calculation of how much safety stock for each raw material and to consider also the capacity of the warehouse and the number of needs when purchasing raw materials. Keywords : Waste, Lean Six Sigma, VALSAT, FMEA
