Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1)How does the ability mathematical reasoning students using cooperative learning TS-TS model (Two Stay-Two Stray) on VIIIA grader at Junior High School 3 Batu, (2)How do students' mathematical communication skills with using cooperative learning model TS-TS (Two Stay-Two Stray) on VIIIA grader at Junior High Shool 3 Batu, (3)Student learning completeness after application of cooperative learning model TS-TS (Two Stay-Two Stray). The research is classroom action research (PTK), which consists of two cycles. The object of this research is VIIIA grader students in Junior High School 3 Batu with the material functions. Data collection ie using the observation sheet that is to know the ability students' oral communication, as well as final tests for reasoning, the ability communication in writing and learning completeness. The results showed that: (1)The ability of mathematical reasoning students gained an average of 65%% criteria quite well, whereas in cycle second, students' reasoning abilities gained an average 87.33% better criteria, (2)From the observation of students' oral communication and communication in writing, on the first cycle students in oral communication obtained average 67.26% criteria good enough student writing and communication obtained an average of 60.34% with the criteria pretty well. While in the second cycle, students' oral communication obtained an average of 70.13% criterion of good writing and communication gained an average of 82.67% both criteria. (3) mastery learning result using cooperative learning model TS-TS (Two Stay-Two Stray) in the first cycle shows the complete 21 out of 31 students with the percentage of completeness of 67.74%. While on the second cycle showed 25 students completed the 31 students with the percentage of completeness of 80.64%. This shows that learning mathematics by using cooperative learning TS-TS (Two Stay-Two Stray) is said to succeed with a demonstrated mastery learning students on the second cycle reaches more than 75%.
