Abstract

This design is about hoisting and transport equipment, in the form of simple equipment designed to facilitate human work in the process of moving goods. Belt conveyor is a type of transport equipment that is chosen to be used to move loads in the form of units or spills in a horizontal direction or form an angle of support from one operating system to another in a production process line. The purpose of this design is to design a conveyor belt to be more flexible and efficient in its use or can be called portable, which means it is easy to use, easy to move, and can transport all types of agricultural products, by adding motion wheels and conveyor belt height control. The design sequence is data collection, design concept making, design calculation includes the dimensions of each part of the portable belt conveyor, and drawing design. The portable belt conveyor capacity is 15 tons/hour, with a track length of 4 meters and the belt width used is 800 mm. Driven by drive pulleys with diameter of 250 mm with a shaft of 45 mm and supported by idlers of 8 pieces at the top and 4 at the bottom with a diameter of 108 mm with a shaft of 30 mm each. Portable belt conveyor uses an electric motor with a power of 0.5 HP.
