Abstract

Based on the needs analysis conducted on October, 29, 2018 with Mrs. Ety Ismini, as the teacher of class 1 SDN Slawe, obtained that in theisschool there are students slow learner, so it can takes a long time in the learning process than normal students and need supporting media in the learning, however in thematic learning teachers use the objects media that can be found in schools, teaching aids, textbooks and worksheets that have been provided the school. In fact students feel bored and tired, so it is necessary to develop other alternative learning media in teaching. This study aims to: (1) describes the product development of media PUDASBABU (Puzzle Cerdas Bagian Tubuh) for Slow Learner in thematic learning in Elementary school. This research was conducted by means of research and development types. As a data source there are two validators that consist of media experts and subject experts. The validation conducted on 6th and 15th February 2019. The other data source are first-grade teacher and first-grade students of SDN Slawe Trenggalek with academic year 2019/2020 and this research takes 3 slow learner students. The implementation conducted on Februari 18, 2019, by using retrieving data on teachers and students responses as well as data on the learning outcomes. The research results showed (1) Research development produces a puzzle that can be used in the first-grade students. (2) The Development of media consists of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. (3) The results of expert validation media obtained score of 92,3% and validation results matter experts obtained score of 86,7%. This shows that the media puzzle is feasible or valid used in learning. (5) Media puzzle obtained a positive response from teachers and learners that each of them obtained 100% percentage. This shows the media puzzle is feasible or practical used in learning. (6) The implementation results show the classical completeness reached 100%. It shows that puzzle media is effective to use in learning.
