Abstract

The absence of learning media related to the sketch and scale subject, teachers only use picture media so that the students have difficulties in understanding story problems and formulas looking for actual distance, distance on the map and looking for scale. Students are more motivated and enthusiastic when learning using real or 3D media. This study aims to determine the process of developing learning media of MIDELING (Miniatur Denah Lingkungan) in Mathematic Lesson on Sketch and Scale Subject of 5th Grade Elementary School. This study uses a type of ADDIE model development research. The data sources of this study were fifth grade elementary school students, class teachers, media expert evaluators, and material expert evaluators. This research was conducted in even semester 2018/2019. The study was conducted through 5 stages, the analysis phase, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation phase, and the evaluation phase. The results of this study indicate (1) the validity of MIDELING media obtained from media expert validation with a score of 87% percentage of very valid criteria. Validation of material experts with a percentage score of 92% criteria is very valid. (2) media attractiveness obtained from teacher and student response questionnaires. Assessment of teacher responses shows a percentage score of 90%. Student responses showed a percentage score of 94%. From the results of validity, and attractiveness it can be concluded that the MIDELING (Miniatur Denah Lingkungan) is suitable for use in the learning process.
