Abstract

Teaching and learning activities carried out in schools certainly require various components of learning support to achieve learning goals, one of the important components in learning is learning media. By using media learning activities will be more varied and can attract students' attention. The media used must certainly be in accordance with the needs of students and present new innovations to keep up with the development of education in Indonesia. A good learning media is a medium that is able to provide benefits for teachers and students. The media that has been implemented at SDN Galih 1 is in the form of a theory explained by the teacher using blackboard media as a means used to explain the operations of adding integers to number lines. Thus the researcher provides a solution in the form of the application of Apabil media in learning. This research was carried out with the aim of making products in the form of stable media (integer numbers) in mathematics learning, especially integer material for grade IV elementary school. This Apabil Media development research was developed using the ADDIE model which is divided into five stages including the analysis stage (analyze), the design stage (design), the development stage (development), the implementation stage (implementation), and the evaluation stage (evaluation). Each stage is carried out according to the specified procedure. This study involved several subjects, namely the fourth grade students of SD Galih 1 Pasrepan Subdistrict Pasuruan Regency with students totaling 15. This development research was conducted in the 2018/2019 school year using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and questionnaires Based on the results of the research conducted at SDN Galih 1, the use of Apabil media in mathematics learning has been effective. This means that using the media changes that bring influence, meaning, and certain benefits to students. In addition, changes in the learning process are functional in the sense of being settled and if needed can be produced and utilized by applying the concepts that have been taught using Apabil media. As well as making students more active in learning, active change means that it does not happen by itself, namely through a process, one of which is to conduct teaching and learning activities directly by using Apabil media as a concrete learning tool. This is indicated by the average value of learning outcomes of class IV students is 86, thus it can be said that students have been able to reach KKM. Because with the use of media Apabil, students can improve students' understanding of integer addition material. This is indicated by the results of student responses with a percentage value of 96%, except that one of the students has not yet reached the KKM score because it has a disruption of learning difficulties, namely dyslexia.
