Abstract

This research was conducted on 12 November 2018 until 28 December 2018 at the Nutrition Laboratory and Environmental Health Laboratory, Payau Aquaculture Fisheries Center, Situbondo. In this study using Cantang grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus x Epinephelus lanceolatus) with an initial size of 8 cm and an initial average weight of 12.95 gr. The method in this study is the experimental method. The design used in this study is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Treatment A is control treatment, treatment B with Se Se 4 mg Se / kg feed, C treatment with Se Se 8 mg Se / kg feed, handling D with Se Se 12 mg Se / kg feed and administration of E with Se 16 mg Se / kg of feed. Selenomethionine (Se) on the growth of Cantang grouper, with the management of E (16 mg / kg of feed) was the best in increasing the growth of Cantang grouper with an average final length of 11.82 cm and a mean weight of 26.63 grams. Furthermore, receiving Se with a dosage of 16 mg / kg of feed (giving E) is the best gift according to the hematocrit amount in Cantang grouper which is offered challenged with vibrio bacteria. Vulnificus with a mean number of hematocrit of 27.59%. Then given to feed at a dose of 16 mg / kg of feed (contribution E) is the best administration in increasing the ease of phagocytosis in Cantang grouper sponsored challenged with Staphylococcus aeureus bacteria 〖10〗 ^ 7CFU / mL with meeting phagocytic resources followed by 37.09% . Therefore, from this study it can be seen that the best dose in increasing increase, hematocrit and ease of phagocytosis in Cantang grouper is to use a Selenium dose of 16 mg / Kg of feed.
