Abstract

Communication pattern is a system of the communication process between one each other. Special children's learning at SD Islam Mohammad Hatta same as regular students, those are planning, execution, and learning assessments. The purpose of this research are: 1) To decrypt the interaction process between teacher, shadow teacher and special needs student in process special children's learning and 2) To decrypt communication pattern between teacher, shadow teacher and special needs student in the special children's learning in SD Islam Mohammad Hatta. This research was using a qualitative approach with a kind of descriptive research. The sources of this research are the class teacher and the shadow teacher who handles the special children at SD Islam Mohammad Hatta. The research was conducted on 19 February until 6 March 2019. The data collection method used for learning observation in the classroom, interviewed with the class teacher and shadow teacher, and the learning device documentation. The data obtained were tested by triangulation techniques. A result of the research shows that the interaction process between teacher, shadow teacher and special needs student in process special children's learning uses the learning interaction process pattern centers on students. As for communication pattern in using primer communication pattern and secondary communication pattern. The primer communication pattern with verbal (language) because shadow teacher duty was to reexplain matter and exercise in language that is easily understood. The secondary communication pattern is proven by the class teacher and shadow teacher using the learning media. Special children's learning in the classroom applies two-way communication for the special student with shadow teacher and multiple communication for the class teacher with special needs student. So the focus class teacher briefed all the students and the shadow teacher focus only on the special needs student.
