Abstract

Technological development require teachers to be able to apply various components of learning by optimizing existing technologies. One of them is the development of teaching materials into more interactive. Teaching materials are the main component in learning, but in fact, there are still many teaching materials quality that has not been able to meet the needs of today’s student. This study aims to develop interactive teaching materials about perimeter and area of the PPS (Square, Rectangular & Triangle) in grade IV elementary school students. This development research has qualitative and quantitative data. The research location is in SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang with the subjects of 21 students in grade IV and were held in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The research was designed through five stages of ADDIE which included analysis, design, develop, implement and evaluate. The results of this study showed: (1) an average percentage of validity levels of the development of interactive teaching materials is 92,2%; (2) an average percentage of users responses to interactive teaching materials is 84,5%; (3) the interactive teaching materials is effective, this is indicated by the average learning outcomes obtained by fourth grade students reaching 81,9 which means that they have met the KKM. Based on these, interactiv teaching material is one of the suggested methods to be applied in learning activities as one of the guidelines for teaching and self-evaluation material.
