Abstract

Study of mathematics with method of inquiry this instruct and guide student to conduct experiment in trouble-shooting, so that student more have room to develop the creativity of according to ably which they have the Intention of this research is how applying of method study of inquiry, Do applying of method approach of inquiry can improve motivation and whether study model can improve completely of result learn. This research type is research of class action, with aim to know the make-up of result and motivation learn class student mathematics of VIII-A in SMP Muhammadiyah 06 DAU. This Research is executed by counted 2 cycles. With research subject are class student of VIII-A counted 32 students. This research is executed on the 18 - 25 April 2008 in SMP Muhammadiyak 06 DAU. Technique intake of data of using perception sheet (enquette), individual test / quiz, test result of learning. Data analysis for motivation learn student use percentage of student motivational level, while achievement learn to use complete learn pursuant to efficacy criterion learn student Result of research at showing percentage of mean from fifth of motivation element, that is assiduous face duty, enthusiasm, self-supporting, resilient, and like to solve Lesson internal issue are data before study equal to 55,72%, after conducted by repair of action percentage of motivation mean learn student at cycle of I 64,22%, at cycle of II wide plate of[is make-up of equal to 74,72% Besides, ad for learning classical at cycle of I that is 81,82%, and , experiencing of improve at cycle of II become 92.03%, This matter mean that study of effective inquiry in improving result and motivation learn mathematics student .
