Abstract

Disaster data from Bakornas PB states that in 2018 at one fire incident about houses and settlements claimed the lives of 20 people, 43 were injured, and 5 buildings were severely damaged. The causes of ordinary fires originate from short circuits of electricity, storage of careless combustible materials, oil or gas stoves, candles or burning mosquito coils which are placed carelessly, firecrackers and cigarette nipples. A disaster simulation or also called mitigation is very much needed as stated in Law No.24 of 2007 Article 47 paragraph (1), Mitigation is done to reduce the risks and impacts caused by disasters. Simulation games are dynamic models of real situations (Reconstruction Situations). Where Simulation Games can help mimic the processes, networks, and structures of specific systems that exist, such as mitigation. In the development of the game to be built, the GDLC method which consists of eight phases is used, including: Initiation, Pre Production, Production, Testing, Beta, and Release. The game that was built was tested on the respondents recruited as many as 30 people with an age range ranging from 18-20 years. From the results of tests related to Playability and Learning, it was concluded that Don't Panic had enough Playability to provide a positive player experience to players from Challenges, Feedback, Objective Delivery, and Control. And Don't Panic is quite capable of conveying information about handling mild fires on a household scale through the Gameplay presented.
