Abstract

In fact in school, material addition and subtraction of integers is delivered using the term "debt" on negative integers (-) and pay the debt on the positive integers (+). Planting material concepts of addition and subtraction of integers as it can lead to misconception (definition of the concept of the use of different / wrong concept), so the need for a correct concept of planting efforts so as not to impact on the education of students in the next level. The cultivation of the concept could be done through mathematical learning theory, namely Dienes learning theory. This research aims to know the influence of learning theory Dienes on student learning result material addition and subtraction of integers of Grade V SDN Krandang 1. This research using quantitative research, and the type of research conducted is an experiment. As data sources, selected grade V SDN Krandang 1, Kras, Kediri Regency 2018/2019 school year which amounted to 24 students. This research was conducted in January of 2019 in two stages, namely the stage of pre-test (before being given treatment) and post-test (after being given treatment). Pre-launch stage test (before being given treatment) researchers took data from teachers ' learning outcomes, while the stage post-test (after being given treatment) data taken from the results of the study conducted by researchers for 2 meetings. The results showed there is a real difference between the results of pre-test (before being given treatment) and post-test (after being given treatment). These results are seen from the output test paired sample t-test that the value of the probability (Sig 2-tailed) for 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is the influence of learning theory Dienes on student learning result material addition and subtraction of integers of Grade V SDN Krandang 1. This is because in carrying out the learning material addition and subtraction of integers using the Dienes learning theory where there is a card game of numbers and line numbers. The results of this research, Dienes learning theory are advised to be used as a reference in the preparation of the program of learning and tutoring that can support the success of learning.
