Interpersonal conflict between daughter in law and mother in-law is a classic conflict which often happened compared by daughter in-law and father in-law. It caused by the nature of woman who sensitive and emotional, moreover if there were many differences between them. The difference perspective could raise conflict between them. Disharmony between mother in-law and daughter in-law would cause interpersonal relation which caused by all parties competed each other, dominating, blamed each other while failed and hurt another party. Open attitude which was the basic condition to create interpersonal relation could be formed if the involved parties eager to communicate all conflict effectively. Effective communication hasn’t formed yet or there were communication inhibition which cause the relation turn into worse direction. The research was qualitative descriptive which aimed to reveal how the problems caused interpersonal conflict between daughter in-law and mother in-law, also find out how to reveal interpersonal conflict between daughter in-law and mother in-law which lived in the same house. Data collection technique as lead interview. Subjects used in the research amount 5 daughter in-law and 5 mother in-law who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used in this research was triangulation. The research found that conflict source between daughter and mother in-law was intervention of mother in-law about her son family’s problem and different perception in educating children, family financial arrangement, and household arrangement were the major source of conflict between daughter and mother in-law who lived in the same home. The conflict would cause the relation became apart, also made another family members un-comfort while in home. To reveal conflict were used mediation, self-control (Patience) and avoidance.
