Abstract

Efficiency and operation of economical generator unit has an important role on electrical power industry because the most expensive on this industry is the fuel cost. One of problem in economic operation of a thermal generator is Economic Dispatch. Economic Dispatch is how to minimize the fuel cost with determine output combination from each generator unit with fulfilled restraints system load and power limit from each generator unit. The problem of economic dispatch can resolve with Deterministic methode or Undeterministic method. In this research used Contriction Factor Particle Swam Optimization Methode (CFPSO) and then this method applied on Electrical Jambi Methode System on electricity charging 235MW. The result of simulation on electrical Jambi System, CFPSO Methode could generate the most optimal solution with fuel cost IDR 18.686.897,16 than fuel cost must be paid by PT. PLN (Persero) Jambi Region has amount to IDR 163.755.996,30. Therefore has a saving fuel cost amount to IDR 145.069.099,14.
