Abstract

Increasing the number of births of Autistic children in Indonesia, has an impact on the need for schools that provider education for children with special needs. The existence of the school so that children can make interactions in which communication occurs. In these interactions will form network patterns that aim to find out the reasons or causes why patterns are formed in groups. In addition, in this study, it can also find familiarity between individuals, clicks in network patterns, and the role of each individual in a network pattern. The main theory used in this study is the theory of communication network structure. Where the theory is used to analyze patterns of communication networks that are formed from the relationship of each individual when interacting in groups. The method in this study is to use network analysis. Then in determining the research subject used a combination of purposive sampling and snowball sampling. After that, in collecting data, researchers used three techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. With the three techniques analyzed using sociogram and validity test using data source triangulation. Based on the results of research on communication network patterns, the dominant pattern formed as a whole is the wheel pattern. In the main network pattern three clicks are formed which are known as wheel patterns, so centralization in a centralized group. Every individual in the network has different roles. It can be seen that the results of the research show that the actors in the communication included one actor as opinion leader, three actors as Gate Keepers, and seven actors as Isolate. All are formed according to the ability of interaction and communication of each subject in the communication network pattern.
