Abstract

The condition of students worksheet which recently exist and still use in schools are worksheet which emphasize in the formula without explaining the procedures how to find it. This research aims at creating worksheet which is developed content one variable linear equations by using scientific approach and also identifying the validity, practice, and effectiveness of the worksheet which is developed. The content of this worksheet explains about one variable linear equations. The worksheet is developed based on the steps of development model namely 4-D which are define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, in this research, the development in only done until develop step. The worksheet is also validated to ensure it is valid to be used. Observer gives the evaluation about the worksheet and students and teachers also give their responses to check whether it is practice. Furthermore, comprehension test is done based on the percentage of students who pass the minimum score after having learning process by using the worksheet which uses scientific approach. The research was done at SMP Negeri 2 Grati. Based on the result of worksheet validation proses, it shows that the average score of the material validation toward its quality is 3,00 and the appropriateness of the worksheet with scientific approach is 3,33. Moreover, the average score of the appropriateness between learning material and didactic aspect is 3,25, the construction aspect is 3,04, and technical aspect is 3,50. In addition, based on the implementation aspect, it achieves the average score of 89,58%. It achieves also 75% for usage aspect, and its accessibility achieves the score 87,50%. Students also give their responses that it achieves 86,51% for the language which is used, 89,28% for the layout, and 86,56% for the condition. From the teacher’s response, it has the percentage 93,75% for the layout, 81,25% for the language, and 87,50% for the materials relevancy. At the end, the are 83,33% students who pass the minimum score from the comprehension test.
