Abstract

Background : Basketball is a systematic process that can be done everyday by every human being in the form of a game and race, with a game that does not contain violence in the game, a person will experience an increase or development in the body, especially one's power This is because this game often makes a jump which results in the lower extremity body parts always doing explosive power, becaus power the importance of power to the lower extremities to jump in printing a point. The combination of depth jump pliometric exercises with dynamic stretching is very influential on increasing lower extremity power. Purpose : To determine the effect of a combination of pliometric exercises depth jump with dynamic stretching on increasing the power of the lower ekstremities on basketball players FIKES UMM. Methodology : This study used the One Group Pretest and Posttest research design with 31 samples taken using purposive sampling technique using the Vertical Jump Test instrument. Results : Identification results for lower extremity power obtained Sig.0.000 or P <0.05 with t -3.950 Conclusion : There is a combination effect of depth jump pliometric training with dynamic stretching on increasing lower extremity power on basketball players FIKES UMM.
