Abstract

Tobacco is a seasonal plant species belonging to the plantation crops. These plants spread throughout the archipelago and has many uses. Tobacco is one of the important trading commodity in the world, including Indonesia. Indonesia accounted for 2.1% of the stock of leaf tobacco worldwide (Anonymous, 2009). This research uses the exploration and test the effectiveness of their application using a simple randomized block design (RBD). Exploration results amounted to 9 isolates endophytic fungus and bacteria amounted to 2 isolates. So that each treatment including positive and negative control applications totaling 29 treatments for fungus and amounted to 8 treatments for bacteria. The statistical analysis used was variance analysis (ANOVA) with a 5% DMRT test. Endophytic fungus was isolated from the whole plant tissues. The highest diversity of endophytic fungi found in the tissue of the petiole, totaling 3 isolates. Identity of endophytic fungi were identified namely Aspergillus sp. and Alternaria sp. The other 4 isolates cannot be identified. Only endophytic bacteria isolated from the root tissue and soil around the roots. All bacteria are a group of gram negative bacteria. Statistical test results analysis of variance (ANOVA) intensity mosaic virus attacks endophytic fungus treatment showed F count > F table 5% which indicates that all treatments used have a very real effect. Some of the symptoms seen in infected plants in the treatment of endophytic fungi and endophytic bacteria in the form of mild mosaic, mottle and stunting. The treatment of isolates DN1 (10-1) is the best treatment in suppressing the intensity of virus attacks with a value of 11.27% while for the treatment of bacteria the two isolates were unable to reduce the intensity of virus attacks.
