Abstract

Giant gouramy (Osphronemous gouramy) is one of the main commodities in freshwater aquaculture. Because the meat is delicious high economic value. The study was conducted stocking with a high density to determine the limits of what the highest level of fry can grow and live. The method used is Complete Random Design (CRD) with 4 treatments, 1 Controls {P.1 (50 individuals), P.2 (100 individuals), P.3 (150 individuals), P.4 (200 individuals), controls (30 individuals)} and 3 Deuteronomy. Data taken is the absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, survival and feed conversion ratio. So that it is known where the optimal growth for the cultivation of fish. The feeding is done 3 times a day (08:00 AM, 12:00 AM, 04:00 PM) for 2 months of the study. The results showed that the absolute growth rate in treatment P.1 for 4.30 grams. Then followed P.2 treatment of 3.80 grams, P.3 treatment of 2.23 grams and the last treatment P.4 of 1.73 grams. The specific growth rate of P.1 treatment was 3.99%. Furthermore treatment P.2 amounted to 3.92%. Then, P3 treatment was 3.03% and the last treatment P.4 was 2.67%. Survival rate / survival on treatment P.1 of 96%. Then P.2 treatment was 94%. After that treatment P.3 was 92%, and last treatment P.4 89% and feed conversion ratio at treatment P.1 equal to 1,11. Then P.2 treatment is 1.12. After that treatment P.3 of 1.25 and the last treatment P.4 of 1.34. Then, the data will be analyzed with variance ɑ 1% and 5% and show no significant different. The conclusion of the study showed that the differences in the distribution fry of giant gouramy in the round tarpaulin ponds showed that the absolute growth and specific growth rate in the treatment of P.1 and P.2 were not significantly different then P.3 and P.4 were not significantly different. However, there is a very real difference between P.1 and P.3 and P.4. Then, on treatment P.2 and P.3 and P.4. On survival and feed conversion ratio there is no real difference. It is recommended to use a stocking stocking of 100 Individuals / pond (160 Individuals / m3) to increase production.
