Abstract

Declining morale and weakening Character Education has become apparent in this current life. Character education is a form of government policy that aims to improve the quality of students character. The purpose is to describe the Implementation of Character Education in the Javanese Language Learning Process in Grade 4 SDN Kalangan 2 Ngunut, about what character values were applied in the learning process of grade 4 Java in SDN 2 Ngunut, and what efforts were made to overcome the difficulties in applying character education in the learning process of Javanese Language 4 grade SDN Kalangan 2 Ngunut. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used in this study were interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and documentation from the principal, class teacher and grade 4 students in SDN Kalangan 2 Ngunut. This researcher describes the results of the study in the form of words. Analysis of the data used by researchers is the model of Miles and Huberman. Data validity test using technical triagulation and source triagulation. The results showed that: (1) SDN 2 Ngunut had implemented character education in the learning process of Javanese language through planning, implementing and evaluating learning. (2) the five character values applied are religious, nationalist, integrity, independent and mutual cooperation. (3) the effort made by the teacher is realized by always trying to be an example for students, giving equal attention to all students, giving students the opportunity to ask, giving examples of good and true Javanese language, and practicing students' patience.
