Abstract

This study aims to describe the formation of Islamic character with a full day school system at MI Muhammadiyah 05 Jombang, besides that it also looks at the Islamic character that is applied, the full day school system applied, full day school programs and evaluation of Islamic character formation with a full system the day school. This study uses a qualitative approach with the subject of research are principals, educators, and students. The selection of MI Muhammadiyah 05 Jombang as a place of research was based on MI Muhammadiyah 05 Jombang forming the character of Islamic students and being balanced with schools using a full day school system. Data collection is done through observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis uses a data reduction model, presenting data then drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the formation of Islamic character applied in MI Muhammadiyah 05 Jombang included aspects of aqeedah, worship and morals. Then for the full day school system the application includes affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects. The formation of Islamic character with a full day school system is more maximal in its implementation because the Islamic character is balanced with several aspects such as cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects so that the objectives of the learning process are achieved.
