Abstract

Leachate is risky to generate waste of water pollution and the environment. This is because lack of the capacity pond processing, caused by high rainfall. TPA Manggar is the largest place of the end processing in Balikpapan had 49,89 ha area. The planned used the biology processing system in order the result of processing not pollute the environment. The method that was used in counting leachate’s discharge is thorntwaite method. Planning leachate’s pool was controlled by roll stability, friction stability and support energy. RAB was counted in order know how much the cost that we need. The results of leachate’s discharge 135,68 mm/month or 5,235 x 10-8 m/s. Leachate’s discharge from zone I 0,00157 m³/s or 135,65 m³/day, and from zone II 0,0011 m³/s or 95,04 m³/day. Dimension of first storage pond 28 x 14 x 2,7 m, second storage pond 24 x 12 x 2,7 m, anaerob pond 44 x 22 x 3 m, facultative pond 43 x 21,5 x 2,3 m, aeration pond 31 x 15,5 x 3 m, maturation pond 31 x 15,5 x 3 m, and biofilter pond 24 x 12 x 2,5 m. Roll stability 9,61, friction stability 35,67. The result of support energy 300,85 ton/m² and 57,31 ton/m². RAB in the amount of Rp 12.122.440.150,00. The conclusion is the construction of leachate’s pond is secure condition.
