Abstract

Religious habituation to students as a form of habituation used to shape the character of discipline is based on several religious habituation activities which include dhikr, istigoshah, dhuha prayer, midnight prayers performed in congregation and recitation, where all these activities must be carried out consistently so as to support efforts to improve student discipline. The purpose of the study was to describe the way of formation, obstacles and the results of the formation of discipline of 4th grade students in Blimbing Elementary School NU Malang City through religious habituation. The type of research used in this study is a case study using the research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The location of the study was in Blimbing NU Elementary School, Malang City, namely 4th grade students. Data collection methods were observation, interviews and documentation with data analysis techniques, namely using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study can be seen that in an effort to shape the discipline of students in NU Blimbing Elementary School applied through religious habituation, among others: 1) Habit of dhuha prayer 2) Habit of dhuhur prayer 3) Habitual prayer together before and after study, 3) Healthy living habits 4) Habit smile, greetings and greetings. Inhibiting factors, factors that hinder the implementation of religious habituation in Blu NU Elementary School include: lack of willingness in students to apply discipline and also a less religious family background. In addition, the environment where students live is not conducive and the prayer place that must be shared with Blimbing NU Middle School is also an obstacle. Supporting factors, the factors that support the holding of religious practices in Blimbing NU Elementary School are: optimal support from the principal, teachers also provide similar support, and student monitoring cards to make it easier to evaluate the development of religious habituation of students.
