Abstract
Attention is the concentration of thoughts on a stimulus or object, Attention is one of the important cognitive functions. There are several factors that affect attention, one of which is individual emotions can change at any time, which is also usually experienced by each individual. While emotional stability is an individual having an uncertain low and high level of emotional stability or commonly called poistive and negative, which acts as a control of behavior, so that positive or negative emotional reactions produced are not excessive and in accordance with situations and conditions. This study aims to find out whether there is an influence between emotional stability on attention. The design of this study is a quantitative study, with 60 subjects taken using quota sampling technique. This study uses 100 coglab (cognitive laboratory) measuring instruments to examine attention, and 16PF psychological test kits for 105 statements to examine emotional stability and the analysis used is simple linear regression. The results of the study showed that the results of the research hypothesis were rejected which meant that there was no influence between emotional stability on attention ( = 0.02, Sig = 0.255) if the value of Sig was above> 0.05, it meant that there was no influence between emotional stability on attention .
