Abstract

This research aimed at describing: (1) the implementation of Hilda Taba’s inductive learning model toward the students’ mathematical problem-solving ability, (2) the students’ mathematical problem-solving ability after the implementation of inductive learning model of Hilda Taba’s version. This research was a descriptive research by using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The data sources of this research were the students of 7th grade and the teacher. The data collection techniques of this research were documentation, observation, and test, in which the test consisted of five items of essay. The research results showed that (1) the implementation of inductive learning model of Hilda Taba’s version brought the positive effects toward the teacher and students’ activities. It was proved by the observation activity, in which the percentage of teacher’s activities was 86,46% that was categorized as A and the meaning was very good and also the percentage of students’ activities was 78,03% that was categorized as very good, (2) the test results showed that the average percentages of mathematical problem-solving that consisted of four indicators namely understanding the problems, planning the completion, implementing the plan, an interpreting the results were 78,30% in the good category.
