The sociological movement in the life of cyber community is not far different from the movement of the life of the community in the real world which there is a sociological process in term of social interaction. Social interaction of cyber community does not recognize the borders, time, or distance. Everything in the cyber world can be accessed by public and is used for “all need” either in its cyber community or in the real world. This existing reality brings new view for the people in the cyber community and real world by stating if the presence of the cyber community is a revolution of a change of social-technological world (computer) of the real community. The meaning that appears later, computer becomes the mainstay of the development of the networks. Nevertheless, it does not mean just merely connection between a computer with thousands of computers around the world through various transfers of data from the cables available in the various computers around the world. However, in this case each person develops meaning in inter-subjective world of human connected to their inhabited world through various interactions. From this they find various interactions centered associatively and disassociatively. The problem in this research is how the meaning of Netter university students to the social interaction in the cyber world is, a study on the Netter university students, the Department of Informatics Engineering (TI), Muhammadiyah University of Malang. The purpose of the research is to investigate how the explanation of the Netter university students of the Department of TI Muhammadiyah University of Malang to social interaction in the cyber world. The subjects in the research were the assistants in the TI laboratory. The data were taken by using purposive sampling. The technique used in collecting the data was both by observation and interview. The technique in analyzing the data was qualitative. The perspective theory to investigate the reality of the explanation of the Netter university students to the social interaction of the cyber world was using symbolical interaction Herbert Blumer theory. It states that the life of a community is created through an interaction process in which the man is an aware and reflective actor, who relates the objects they know, evaluates, explains, decides to act based on that explanation. The explanation is obtained from the social interaction done with other people. Then, the explanations are improved when the social interaction process is happening. Six meaning the writer obtained from the research subjects are the sophisticated and effective interaction, the world that does not recognize the border and time, the freedom in the interaction, the moderate and unconventional stratification, the maintained privacy by using pass word, and the simplicity in the search of need just through search engine.
