Abstract

Background: Soccer is a physically and mentally draining sport, for a soccer player one of the players' abilities must have a good agility of changing the direction of the ball and the body without loss of balance. football requires all players to have the power, speed, agility, balance and good endurance. Playing with high intensity can lead to muscle fatigue and reduce the performance of players or can not play optimally. Contras bath and ice bath are the modalities by using cold and warm water with time, duration, and temperature that have been determined as performance recovery modalities. Objective: This research was conducted to find out contrast bath ratio with ice bath to restore agility on football soccer player. Research Methods: The research design used in this study is Quasi Experimental Pre-Post Two Group Design. Respondents in this study were students who participated in UMM football UMM University which amounted to 35 people with Total sampling technique using IAT scale (Illinois agility test). Results: Results with average recovery rates in the contrast bath group of 1.7 with 17 respondents, and ice bath group recovery of agility with an average of 2 on 20 different respondents. Comparative calculation is done with Independent Sample T-test showing result p value 0,337> 0,05 with value of t count 0,974 <t table 0,449 Thus it can be stated that H0 accepted that there is no comparison bath ice with contrast bath to recovery of agility at soccer player. Conclusion: There is no comparison of ice bath with contrast bath on agility recovery on soccer player of football.
