Abstract

Since the announcement of the status of the pandemic throughout Indonesia, various economic activities ranging from the tourism sector to trade have been forced to close their businesses because they are not allowed to carry out activities, including the Cangar hot spring tourism which is located in the Raden Soeryo forest park area, this will have an impact on valuation and the economy. this area will also have an indirect impact on the implementation of PES. This study aims to examine the valuation and implementation of Pay Ecosystem for Services (PES) from ecotourism at the cangar hot spring in the pandemic era and analyze the economic problems that arise due to the closure of the cangar hot spring tourist area. The data used in this research is descriptive qualitative of phenomena and events that actually occur in the field resulting from observations and questionnaires. The time and place of this research was carried out in December 2020-January 2021 in the Cangar hot springs area of R.Soerjo Tahura. The sampling method used in this research is using the Purposive Sampling Technique, which is a sampling technique from the research population based on certain characteristics and characteristics to achieve the research objectives. The total economic value generated in the Cangar hot spring area is Rp. 5,216,626.830,- per year before the pandemic and Rp. 4,188,516,830,- per year during the pandemic. The economic valuation of Cangar hot springs has decreased during the pandemic due to reduced direct use value and option value. PES implementation has been carried out properly because all the parameter elements have been met
