Abstract

Background : Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by Acid Resistant Bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) which can attack various organs, especially the lungs, with highly variable symptoms. Tuberculosis drug prescription consists of two patterns of drug use namely single and combination (Combipak and fixed dose combinations). Purpose : This study aims to determine the profile of tuberculosis drug in Pharmacy District Klojen Malang. Regarding patient demographics, prescription data, physician authors, and patient treatment profiles (single and combination drugs, dosage and rule of use, and other drugs that accompany the prescription of tuberculosis drugs). Method : This study used a retrospective descriptive method in patients with diagnoses of tuberculosis who received anti tuberculosis drugs in Pharmacys of Subdistrict Klojen Malang City from January to December 2017. Results and Conclusions : Prescribing profiles of tuberculosis drugs in two pharmacies contained 22 anti-tuberculosis prescriptions. The pediatrician is 95.5% (21 patients). Male gender 66% (15 patients). Age with unclear identity 83% (19 patients). Weight 10-14 kg 55% (12 patients). Therapy is a single drug 0% (0 recipe) and 100% combination drug (22 recipes). Other drugs that accompany the prescription of tuberculosis drugs are vitamins of 51% (12 drugs).
