Abstract

Indonesian potato production has increased year by year, data from 2011 to 2015 has increased to 30%. Increased demand for potatoes, in line with the growing population. This situation resulted in an increase in the area of potato cultivation and increased demand for quality potato seeds. In vitro use of potato seeds that are free of viruses and diseases. Next with the removal of the plantlet. By multiplying cuttings from culture bottles on the screenhouse to obtain Gseeds0, G1 and G2 that are ready to be moved to the field for planting. Transfer of 3 weeks of seedling age can be an option in the development of this propagation. The age of a 4-week transplant can also be an option if the planting season can still be withdrawn. The purpose of this study is to get the age of cuttings that are suitable for producing quality potato seeds. The research was conducted in Pujon Greenhouse. This research was conducted from February to October 2018. The study used a randomized block design with 1 factor and 7 replications, namely: U1 = 30 days after cuttings (hss), 45 days after cuttings and 60 days after cuttings. The parameters of observation included: plant height (mm), stem diameter (mm), number of branches, leaf area, chlorophyll test, wet weight (g) and dry weight of plants, roots and tubers, number of tubers, total tuber weight and tuber grade. Analisis data using the F test (ANOVA) to know the diversity of age cuttings removal, if there are significant differences continued with HSD test with a level of 5%, the data is presented in tabular form. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the age transfer of cuttings (30hss, 45hss and 60hss) gives no different results on vegetative growth. The best amount of tuber weight was obtained at the transfer of 60 days after cuttings which was 48,52g
