Abstract

Background : Tuberculosis (TB) is a diseases caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria. Treatment of tuberculosis is divided into three categories namely category 1, category 2, category of children. Therapy of category 1 in the intensive phase consists of HRZE given every day for 2 months, then continued with advanced phase consist of HR given three times a week for 4 months. Aim : The study aims to determine the use of anti-tuberculosis category 1 in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in RSUD Sidoarjo. Method : This research was observational with retrospective method in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Medical Record Installation of RSUD Sidoarjo period January 1, 2017 until December 31, 2017. Result and Conclusions : The mostly pattern of anti tuberculosis use is 4FDC anti tuberculosis on 41 patients (79%), in which one patient could have more than one dose. The mostly used pattern of FDC anti tuberculosis with the dosage (1x3 tablet) 4FDC on 26 patients (57%). The mostly used pattern combined anti tuberculosis with other antibiotics on 61 patients (88%), the most combination with the dosage (1x3 Tablet) 4FDC on 34 patients (56%) with the mostly used antibiotic ampicillin (3x1 g) IV on 7 patients (21%). The pattern of use of anti tuberculosis with switches was 37 patients with the mostly used switching pattern of cefoperazone (3x1 g) IV to cefoperazone (3x1 g) IV + OAT (1x3 tablet) 4FDC on 3 patients (8%).
