Abstract

Background: Diabetic foot is one of the chronic complications of diabetes. Factors that influence the occurrence of ulcers in diabetic feet include neuropathy, abnormal foot biomechanics, and wound healing. Diabetic foot that is left for too long will result in wounds that cause infection. The purpose of writing this Final Scientific Paper for Nurses is to determine the effect of providing wound care with adu on the healing process in patients with diabetes mellitus and diabetic foot ulcers.
Method: The research method used is a research strategy approach (Case study research) with non-probability sampling techniques. Data collection uses interviews, observation, physical examination, and documentation studies.
Results: After using honey therapy as a wound dressing for 3 consecutive days, the results showed that Mr.'s leg ulcers were in good condition. P also seems to have improved, the pus has decreased and the skin looks moist. The main nursing diagnoses found in diabetic foot cases are ineffective peripheral perfusion, impaired skin integrity, unstable blood sugar levels, and acute pain.
Conclusion: From the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a change in the condition of Mr.'s diabetic foot. P seems to be improving and it can be concluded that honey therapy in wound dressings helps the healing process of diabetic foot
