Communication effectiveness is influenced by several factors, one of which is confidence. Confidence will determine the effective communication on someone especially on a young couple who just entered the gates of marriage. This study aims to determine the relationship of confidence with the effectiveness of communication in young couples. The research is non-experimental research in this study researchers used the entire population with a total sampling method with the subject of as many as 64 young couples on marriage age maximum of 1 tahun.di Karangsono Hamlet, Pakisaji District, Malang. Data collection instrument using 2 scales: (1) scale of confidence and (2) scale the effectiveness of communication. The data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation analysis technique. From the analysis of data obtained (r) = 0.501 and p = 0.000 means that there is a very significant positive relationship between confidence in the effectiveness of communication in young couples, which means higher trust oneself, the better the effectiveness of its communications, and conversely the lower the confidence someone will get worse as for the effectiveness of its communication effective contribution in this study amounted to 25.1%.
