Abstract
Cognitive function is one of the most important in a process of receiving information that is closely related to presenting a stimulus called perception. Each individual has a different perception, because sensory events are processed according to knowledge and adapted to the experience of the individual such as visual perception is most widely recognized and easier to learn. Having a good physical condition will give more attention and focus to the stimulus process that comes. One that affects visual perception is sleep. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sleep quality on visual perception in students. The design of this study uses quantitative associative with the form of casual relationships with the subject of research as many as 60 subjects. Sampling uses non probability sampling using the quota sampling technique. Data retrieval uses Coglab (Cogvitive Laboratory) instruments by Greg Francis and Ian Neath from Purdue University. Data analysis techniques using SPSS for Windows version 21 using a simple linear regression test. The results obtained are seen from the significance value (P) of 0.681 (P> 0.05) which means there is no influence between sleep quality and visual perception.
