Abstract

This research is a kind of descriptive research which the activity to collect and analyze the data with the porpuse to make description systematically about the facts that usually happent to the Company and the relation between phenomena that the writer observed. In this research , the writer takes two hypotesis, firsthy the writer thought that the using of distribution channel directly by Paving Stone Indah Cemerlang Company in singosari Malang is not effective, and the second hypotesis, the writer thought that the using of distribution channel indirectly by Paving Stone Indah Cemerlang Company in Singosari Malang is Quiet effective. The tools of analysis which used in this research closely related to the using of “rasio”, by comparing and rasionalyz between the cost distribution to the cost production and marketing. It can say effective if the ratio of distribution cost that spent not more than 30% to the total cost production. And saying effective if the ratio of distribution cost less than 15 % to the marketing. According to the result of data analysis and comprehandsion that was done, the writer able to get the summary, in fact according to the calculation of distribution cost ratio to the total cost production at 2002-2006 in using distribution channel directly that used by Indah Cemerlang Company, Singosari Malang is not effective, further more at 2002-2006 in using distribution channel directly able to say effective. Then, according to the result of the calculation from the cost distribution ratio to marketing, at 2002-2003 in using distribution channel directly, it can say uneffective. Furthermore, at 2004-2006 in using the distribution channel, it can say effective. Several reasons causing uneffectivenes of distribution channel in 2002-2003 because of the Company still using distribution channel directly. Where the Company distribute the production, they faced the different location of the market between one and each other. And the distance between the different of location it self becomes the factor of the increasing distribution cost that must be spend by the Company. Because of that the Company will be has a huge the level of distribution control. There are several reasons causing the distribution channel of Indah Cemerlang Company in Singosari Malang at 2004-2006 becomes more effective, one of them the Company use the agent service or indirect channel agent where the Company in distributing the result of the product just using the agent or another person until to the consument.
