Abstract

The production process of tofu with simply technology application leads to the high level of waste water. The waste water from the tofu production process is an organic with the biological process. Therefore, aerobic and anaerobic biofiter methods are used to reduce Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Total Suspended Solid (TSS). Tofu Industry of UD Sumber Agung employed 8520 liters of raw water which resulting in 6540 liters of waste water per day. The results of the study showed that the planning results are in the form of filtering unit dimensions (1,00x0,30) m; the dimension of the initial sedimentation is (2,50x 2,50x1,20) m; the dimension of anaerobic unit is (3,00x2,50x1,00) m; the dimension of aerobic unit is (3,00x2,50x1,00) m and dimension of final final sedimentation unit is (2,50x2,50x1,20) m. these results are considered a technical unit of waste water management at UD Sumber Agung Tofu Industry in Mojokerto Regency.
