Abstract

Learning media is one of important components in learning process. By learning media, teaching and learning process can encourage students' desire and interest to learn. This is in accordance with media function theory by Hamalik (Arsyad, 2011: 15). Yet the fact is, mathematics teachers have not used variety of media to improve students’ spirit of learning. Thus, this research is aimed to develop interactive media using fable with two-dimentional figure characters for 4th Grade at Primary School. In this research, it was used development method or Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE model consisting five steps, those are: (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. Data analysis technique used in this research was quantitative approach obtained from questionnaire score and qualitative approach obtained from criticism and suggestion given. The result of research and development was the interactive media using fable with characters was categorized “very valid” with 94,79% of validity level from media expert, 92,04% from material expert, 90% from learning practitioner and 91,31 % from field test result. Based on the results, interactive media using fable with two-dimentional figure characters is included as feasible and interesting media.
